On 20th May 2010 the Associations, "Facility Management Switzerland” and "Maintenance and Facility Management Society of Switzerland" merged under the new industry umbrella organisation "fmpro - Swiss Association for Facility Management and Maintenance”. As a result, fmpro (with some 1,500 individual and corporate members) is now the largest professional organisation in Switzerland in the field of facility management and industrial maintenance.

A stated goal of the Association is to raise public awareness of the industry and its large sphere of activity and to ensure effective levels of service are implemented and sustained. The economic significance of the FM sector in Switzerland is not in dispute and the field of facility management and technical maintenance will undoubtedly continue to experience a growing demand.

fmpro has set itself the goal to incorporate this trend to ensure we are the first industry point of contact in the public sector. With a wide range of services for its members, and taking an active role in educational and research issues, fmpro has been promoting the Association’s activities since January 2011.

Our members are qualified professionals and companies from the facility management and maintenance fields. As an industry and trade Association we represent the interests of our members in all parts of the country and in every industrial sector.

Our members determine the Association’s policies - and approve the Mission Statement and Articles. The Executive Committee is the strategic management body of our Association and is supported in its work by various staffed functions (committees and project groups). The professional team in our offices carries out the operational management and implementation of official decisions.
